Dr. Bogs is very excited to be practicing in her hometown, and looks forward to providing her patients with the best preventive and overall care possible.
She has designed her office to include the latest in technology, as well as making it as environmentally friendly (Green) as possible. This includes the selection of energy- efficient lighting and equipment, and Dr. Bogs has chosen to use an alcohol based hand sanitizer in each patient room, thereby eliminating the need for sinks, faucets, water, soap, and paper towels. This saves paper towel and water consumption, and the Centers for Disease Control show it also reduces the number of bacteria as effectively as washing with soap and water.
The office offers digital radiography, which means faster and safer (lower exposure) x-rays for the patient. Digital radiography eliminates photochemical wastes, removes radiation from the dental office, and removes the need for lead in x-ray films and aprons. This also will allow the images to be enhanced and improved, and provide the ability to e-mail these to specialists and insurance companies.
An intraoral camera will allow the patient to easily and accurately view what the Doctor sees, and laser caries (cavity) detection allows the patient's cavities to be diagnosed and treated while small, thereby preventing a larger problem in the future.
